I write this small article to you for explain the magnific experience that I have lived in my last trip to Japan this June. There were seven in the morning and I was just raised when they beat to the door of my room, I opened and was the lady of the Ryokan saying to me that Hatsumi Sensei was outside. I left and there he was with his dogs and said to me "walk?". He gave me the dogs and we began to walk, there was a small silence when suddenly he asked to me "how do you see the Bujinkan?".
I was left thinking and I answered that each one sees it in different forms but I see it like a personal mirror where each one sees its defects. He answered " It´s a good form to define a martial art, my intention has been always to deep in the human feeling and we must forge a good weapon to cut
our mistakes." We continued walking and suddenly he begans to talk about the world-wide terrorism that whips to us lately explaining that he will not give classes from the end of the Daikomyosai to half January so that we do not take airplanes in dates near Christmas and New Year because they are susceptible of attacks. Please, note until what point Sensei takes care of us!.
We arrived walking to a small temple where he usually pray and put a coin for him and another one for me. Around temple there was a small park. I asked him some things about training hoping answer spoken and which was my surprise when he clarified them to me in physical form, that is to say, doing the technique! The questions were about Gikkan Ryu, but I am not going to explain it here because I consider that this is only for Shihans.
We continued speaking on the mean level and high level of the Gyoko ryu and Sensei explained many interesting concepts to me, one of which had to be with the positive and the negative of things and the natural atraction of these. He explained that the positive and the negative come together, create the fire, and this natural energy is supplied of fuel by winds to give greater energy to him.
We can use the natural energy in our own advantage. The training is centered in attack and defense at the same time, very near of Uke. Using this magnetism you can draw the places where we could attack without having to be conscious to decide where or when to attack.
The offensive opportunities will appear naturally and can simultaneously be used against several attackers.
Sensei also explained that this is the form to reach the zero point and with this zero we can survive and surpass everything without using nothing.
We continued our conversation during the return to his house where he told to me that this was the right moment to train and that their classes are for Shihans and these are those that must teach in their countries.
We finished our conversation having lunch at his house, according to Sensei, ninja food, beans and rice cooked with sesame.
After the lunch I went with him in the car that had come to pick him and we went to the Hombu Dôjô for the Sunday morning class.

I have avoided some aspects of my conversation with Sensei that I consider personal or only for Shihans and I do not have his permission to make them public.

A strong hug to everybody and Bufu Ikkan,

César Pelegrín - Shihan
